Cliff Sevier

 

Clifford “Cliff” Sevier has been a resident of Rockwall Texas for 12 years.

Cliff was elected in May 2006 to Rockwall City Council Place 4. He is currently serving his last year of a six year commitment. Cliff served as Mayor PRO-TEM 2008-2009, currently serves on a number of City subcommittees which include Rockwall Economic Development Corporation Liaison, Finance and Audit Committee, Airport Committee, Historic Preservation Advisory Board, Conservation and LEED Committee, Alliance of the Arts Advisory, Budget Review Committee, Fireman Pension Board, and The Rockwall County Emergency Services Corporation Board.

 

Cliff worked for Siemens Building Technologies, Inc. a large international corporation as Project Manager Energy & Environmental Solutions for 8 years.  He has extensive experience in managing multimillion dollar contracts, principally projects for federal, state, and local governments. In his roles as Sergeant Major and Project Manager, he has extensive experience working with people at all levels to solve problems, manage projects, budgeting, and working under time constraints. He had direct responsibility for multimillion-dollar projects.  He is a graduate of Vincennes University.

Cliff and his family arrived in Rockwall in 1998 following his retirement from a 30-year U.S. Army career, leaving with the rank of Sergeant Major. He and his wife, Teresa Gates Sevier of Whitney Texas, have two sons:  Mason and Collin who both attend Rockwall High School.  He and his family are active member at Lake Pointe Church.

Cliff’s recent community involvement includes; Rockwall City Council 2006 – Present, Mayor Pro-Tem 2008-2009,Executive Board Member Rockwall Boys and Girls Club 2007-2008, President of the Rockwall County Republican Men’s Club 2012 – Present, Vice President of the Rockwall County Republican Men’s Club 2011-2012,  Secretary of the Rockwall County Republican Men’s Club 2010-2011, Executive Officer Rockwall County Republican Men’s Club 2002-2010, Former Precinct Judge and Chairman Rockwall County 2004-2006, Delegate to State of Texas GOP Republican Convention 2004, Angel League Baseball (special needs children) Coach 1999-Present, Coach Rockwall County Special Olympics, Former Precinct Judge and Chairman Rockwall County 2004-2006, Carson Masonic Lodge 598 A&FM (40) yrs, East Trinity Lodge No. 157, A.F. & A.M, Life Member VFW Post 7340, Life Member DAV, Member of Rockwall American Legion Post 117, Former member and Sunday School Teacher First Baptist Church of Rockwall (8 years), Member of Lake Pointe Church Rockwall (5yrs), Former Ombudsman Texas Department on Aging Dallas, Texas. Actively provide meals for the homeless monthly to Cornerstone Church through Lake Pointe Life Group and most recently served Lake Rockwall Estates Dental Mission for those in need.
